A little bit more

September 19th, 2006 at 11:33 pm

Well, the $3 ReadRevenue payment from PayPal came through to my checking account today so I transferred that to savings, bringing the total to $923. Just $77 more to go to hit my goal of $1000. Just a few more weeks and I will. This is so exciting for me. I never thought I'd get here and now its imminent. Wow.

Long Day

September 18th, 2006 at 12:48 am

Today has been a very long day. We started out by going to the first service ever of a brand new church being held in our division's clubhouse. I haven't been to a church service in 11 years, so that was weird. Not sure its going to take yet.

Received payment at paypal for the PTR I cashed out a few days ago, so I transferred that to my CU.

Spent the day organizing the kitchen. We found the table, so no more eating in the living room off TV trays or the coffee table. I managed to get my stockpile off the table and into the cupboards. I still need to make an inventory of what is in the cupboards.

I am currently roasting 12 turkey legs, some for dinner tonight and another night and some for lunch meat for the kids this week. They were $0.69 a pound at Fred Meyer in the value packs.

We are going to try rearranging our eating schedule this week. With soccer at 5:30 four weekday nights a week it makes it really late to be eating, so we have decided to have dinner right after the kids get home from school at 4:00. They are always really hungry then anyway. Usually I eat my largest meal at lunch but I'm going to switch it to dinner and see how things go. I don't like to eat heavily late at night, but 4:00 may be early enough to not get that heavy feeling at bedtime.

It may make getting the kids to bed easier, also. My schedule is flexible as a SAHM and DH's is when he is home as he only works when he's up in Alaska, so he doesn't mind changing things around either. It would be nice to just come home from soccer, have the kids take their baths, have them do their homework or reading and then go to bed right away. I hope it works as well as I think it will.

Not much money related today, was there? Oh, well. The money thing seems to be going okay at the moment. Just feel a bit boring today.

Earnings and Savings Hits $900

September 13th, 2006 at 04:22 am

I received my first check from Your2Cents survey company for $11 today. I cashed out back in the first week of August so it took six weeks to get here. ACOP is a lot faster.

So with that $11 and the coin I rolled today of $10.50, plus 2 quarters to even things up, I will deposit $22 to savings bringing the total in there to $907. I will make that deposit tomorrow when I go pick DH up from the airport.

I should be able to cash out a $3 PTR tomorrow night.

Also received the refund from DH's work to pay us back for the safety glasses he bought. I've already paid $100 out of our own money, so with the check I will have $100 left after paying the rest of it off. For now I will put that money in a savings account at a different CU from my main savings until I decide where it will go.

I Googled Myself

August 30th, 2006 at 10:01 pm

Last night I googled myself. Not me, but LuckyRobin, just out of curiosity. Wow. And of course, all of it related to stuff from here or some other blog sites that had cherry picked a couple posts. Never had any kind of presence on the web before. Certainly not with my real name.

I got caught up in an old forum post about ING vs. Emigrant Direct. It took me 5 hours to read the whole thing. So much good information there. Now I have to go read the one about ED vs. HSBC. I am a long way from making any decisions, not without more information.

The money from ReadRevenue showed up in my paypal account today so transferred that to my credit union and with any luck it will show up by Friday so I can add that $3 to my savings account. I was hoping to hit $800 in savings by the end of August, so after tomorrow's automatic deposit will be $7.15 short. So I think I will go on over there and add ten bucks more in since I will be in town anyway.

The closer school gets, the more my kids are fighting, it seems. I only have to get through 6 more days of that. Less, if I can talk Mom into an overnight with them. Here's hoping. I think they just may kill each other before that. I miss my good kids and wonder when they plan on coming back.

Soccer starts next week, too. I've heard from Rose's coach but not Tobias' coach yet. Hopefully, I don't have to spend a lot of time tracking that info down like I did last season. It is a pain in the neck to do. I'm not looking forward to the extra gas spent shlepping to practices but I think the exercise will wear them out and help them sleep better on the new change to school sleep schedule. Because I haven't had much luck trying to adapt them back off the summer schedule even though it is getting dark shortly after 8 right now.

I can't wait for next Tuesday!

Earnings, Savings, and When School Starts

August 28th, 2006 at 09:52 pm

The $3.00 from paypal from GaryMails was deposited in my account this morning, so I transferred that from checking to savings, bringing that account up to $782.85.

I cashed out ReadRevenue for $3.00 this morning. I'm not close on anything else at the moment, so it will probably be next week before I cash out more.

I'm only doing a couple right now. Once the kids go back to school, I may do more, but I've promised myself that as soon as school starts I will go to Curves to exercise 3x per week, and ride my bike outside for an hour at least twice a week. I will also spend 2 hours a day writing. I've got a great outline and 25 pages and just need to write oh, about 175 more. If I'm in the flow I can do about 10 pages a day.

Then there's all the housework to get done while the children are not underfoot, so I have maybe one hour a day to do click-thrus while no one is home. Maybe an hour in the evening during homework. But we will be running for soccer (both kids) so who knows?

Earnings and PTR's that Pay

August 26th, 2006 at 11:54 pm

I received the $3 from the new PTR cash out into paypal today so transferred that into my bank account. $1000 here I come, LOL.

I thought I would post the PTR's that I have actually received money from.

Classical-Mails
Time-Mails
YeahCash
ReadRevenue
CashOrigin
TinklyCash
GaryMails
CashforAction

And the one I have not received payment for so far despite follow up email:

Earnings

August 24th, 2006 at 03:47 am

I cashed out a $3 click-thru this morning. I am still trying to track down the missing payment of $5 from another one at the beginning of August. Still waiting on an $11 survey check.

Savings Update

August 14th, 2006 at 10:07 pm

$2 from paypal came through to my checking account this morning so I transferred that to savings, bringing the total to $695.56.

Earnings

August 12th, 2006 at 10:39 pm

Received the new click-thru deposit to paypal today. So I transferred that $2 to the CU. That makes 4 confirmed 1 cent paid to reads that payout. I am going to discontinue the lesser amount PTRs as I hit payout and stick with these.

I had a nice little break from doing them, though and am not going to spend quite so much time on them. I do them around blog readings as the pages load or while watching a DVD or listening to a book on tape, but no just sitting and doing them.

I am still waiting for the payment from Classical Mails. They take forever. It says 3 to 15 days but last time they took the full 15 and they seem to be taking it this time, too. I don't understand why it takes so long when they are the same company that runs one of the one cent ones I do that pays out in 48 to 72 hours. I want my $5. Sigh.

More Savings Stuff

August 10th, 2006 at 07:59 am

Cashed out a new click-thru tonight for $2.

Still have one $5 payment pending. I wish they'd light a fire under themselves and start moving.

Savings Update

August 10th, 2006 at 12:01 am

The paypal transfer of the $1.71 from cashforaction showed up in my bank account today, so I transferred that to savings, bringing my total in savings to $577.56. When I add the $56 in on Friday I will also add an additional $0.44, as I really don't like non-rounded amounts. I have a bit of a compulsion about numbers. I like them even numbers and whole numbers. I'll take the $0.44 from my change jar. Fortunately, this only rears its head in regards to money with my savings account. My checking account can have odd numbers in it, just fine.

Savings Update

August 7th, 2006 at 09:23 pm

$10 from paypal came through to my credit union so I transferred that to my savings account. That total is now at $558. I will deposit $15 in rolled coin today. I ended up using the Sacajewea dollar to pay a fine of my husband's at the library. But I will replace that dollar along with the $5 I found in the McD's parking lot that I ended up using for gas (because I'd left my Shell cards at home) on Friday when we get paid.

I forgot about an auto payment that will come due one day before payday so I will put the check from SendEarnings in my regular account and then move that amount to my savings CU on Friday also.

I took the weekend off from doing click-thrus so I won't be cashing anything out this week, I don't think.

Oh, the $1.71 from cashforaction finally showed up in my paypal account today so I transferred that to my CU. I am still waiting for the $5 from the other one to show up at paypal.

Big Check Came

August 6th, 2006 at 12:21 am

The big check came today, $52.85. Of course, it came on a day I can't deposit it! One of the new click-thrus, the one I cashed out last night, showed up in paypal today. I am still waiting on the $5 one that was supposed to have a 72 hour turn around. I cashed it out on Tuesday so I guess they are not legitimate or they are really, really slow. If it hasn't shown up by Monday, I'll send them a query.

I haven't been able to get into my online banking today to see if any of the paypal transfers came through there. They are doing maintenance. Gee, why can't they do it in the middle of the night like everyone else does?

It's way too hot again today. 82. We are going back out to the pool now.

Found Money

August 5th, 2006 at 06:15 am

I found $5 in the parking lot at McDonald's today. So not only did I not have to pay for our meals because of the gift certificates I found earlier, but I came home $5 richer. And quite a bit saner after the kids played in playland for 3 hours. The change of scenery was just what they needed to stop their fighting. The rest of the day has gone smoothly. I meant to mow the lawn but I just kind of didn't do it. LOL At least I added chemicals to the pool so it can be used tomorrow. It's getting hot again and we will want to get in tomorrow, I'm sure.

I will add the $5 to the $16 of rolled coin so one of these days will be adding in $21 to my savings account. Which will bring my total to $569. I'm not sure I'll get there before next Friday at the rate I'm going, and by then some click-thrus will have been deposited and I may have the big check, and of course the next $10 auto deposit. I'll hit well over $600 soon.

I cashed out a click-thru today for $2. Seems so piddly, these little amounts but they add up. So far August is shaping up nicely.

Oh, duh!

August 4th, 2006 at 09:11 pm

I figured out where the "extra" money in my savings account came from. Yesterday was Thursday and that is the day of the auto deposit to savings. Can't believe I forgot that. Silly. So yes, it is supposed to be there, the total is $548.

Had a $3 deposit come through to paypal so transferred that. Still waiting on a $5 deposit that should have come through today as I cashed it out on Tuesday. It's a new one that I haven't cashed out before so hopefully it does go through.

No checks in the mail today, though I really wasn't expecting the one from SendEarnings until around the 7th, as that is when it came last time. No samples either. I do hope that those coffee samples start showing up soon. I signed up for some in April and May and so far not one has appeared. I don't drink coffee, but I was going to put together a gourmet gift basket of coffees for my FIL for Christmas, but now I'm starting to think they won't show at all. Has anyone else gotten any of the coffee samples yet?

While we were cleaning the other day I ran across some gift certificates to McDonalds so we are going to use those and go there today. The kids have cabin fever and are driving me up a wall with their bickering, so a change of scenery may do us all some good, plus its air conditioned. We may stop by MIL's house afterwards for a short visit and maybe use the whirl pool tub (they don't keep it very warm in summer, but the jets feel good).

It's been a long week

August 4th, 2006 at 12:34 am

I checked my savings account this afternoon and it has $10 more in it than I think it should. I probably just didn't write down a deposit, I'll track it down tonight after the kids are in bed. So for now, the account says it is at $548.

So far this week I have cashed out on and $13 worth of click-thrus. $5 of it showed up in paypal this morning so I transferred that.

I ended up sleeping through a focus group offer I got earlier this week. It was $20 for 90 minutes, darn it. But I must say I felt better for the extra sleep and how often do both kids sleep in on the same day I need it? Never. DH flew out Monday, so no him waking me up early either.

I still have not made it to the bank to deposit that rolled coin. It's burning a hole in my purse. Not to spend it, mind you, but to deposit it in savings. I still marvel at the turn-around of that.

As I am currently planning, I won't be in town until Tuesday, unless the big check comes in and I go to deposit it. But I will only do that if I can get MIL to watch the kids so I can also go birthday shopping for Rose. I won't drive all the way in for just that one thing.

The mail has brought a lot of samples this week. 1 ban deoderant, 1 dove deodrant with $1 off coupon, 1 downey with whitening, and a face cream from Olay.

I got a free stuffed puppy from Febreeze for buying their bathroom plug in thingy at the store, which I had a good coupon for, plus it came with 8 other Febreeze coupons. I have been wanting something for the bathroom the kids and DH use the most, as the smells can get quite bad in there since the fan broke. It only has a teeny tiny window so it doesn't get much air circulation.

Not really too much going on today. We are about to go swimming and we opened the blackberry preserves, the highlights of the day, LOL.

I have been struggling with my computer the last few weeks. It is finally admitting that I am in charge now and letting me have my way most of the time. I found out that it did not have a legitimate copy of Windows so I had to send for a conversion kit, which I was finally able to load over the weekend and then spent 3 days getting Norton installed and working properly. The first time I installed it, it didn't install Live Update. Hello? What good is it without that? Got that sorted, installed the 42 updates needed, got a couple of trojans off the computer and I have proper speed again.

Oh, for Jenelle, I did finally get those links sent off to you last night, a full 24 hours later than I expected. On the bright side, no trojans and worms were in the email, LOL.

July Wrap Up

August 1st, 2006 at 04:31 am

I received $5 from paypal this morning and added that to savings. My savings is now $538. I did not make it over there today to deposit the rolled coin.

My total earnings this month was $36 and all of that came from click-thrus, except a four dollar survey. I did no trial offers this month. My total earnings since the beginning of June is $135.82.

Today I cashed out a survey account for $11 and should receive a check shortly. I am also expecting a check the first month of August from SendEarnings. That one is just over $50. August will be a bigger earning month, maybe even than June. And I will cash out a $5 click-thru account tomorrow and another $5 one and a couple smaller ones by week's end. Still waiting on a payment of $1.71. Added up that is coming up on $80 already for August. Not bad at all.

When I started my blog in April I had $105 in my savings account. Today I have increased that by over $400. I am finding my way. Slowly but surely.

Payday and Savings and Musings

July 29th, 2006 at 05:11 am

Today I deposited 2 rolls of pennies, one Sacajawea dollar, and the $9 the neighbor owed me into my savings account, that $11 brought my total in savings to $533.

I had another $3 payment show up in paypal.

I paid out today:

$400 to the house mortgage--$375.86 regular payment plus $24.14 extra to principal
$250 to Chase Visa
$30 to MBNA Master Card # 2
$124 for our 2 month water/sewer bill
$125 half year dues to our homeowner's association
$100 to Allstate for house insurance
$50 withdrawn for gas money

The homeowner's association finally has gotten the pool fixed and now are just waiting for permission from the health department to reopen it. Hope its soon, although it did finally cool off today. Only 71 degrees F, just the way I like it. I feel like I'm living in NW Washington again. I knew the weather was going to change. I started getting a weather headache yesterday morning and that always happens with barometric pressure changes this severe. Fortunately, it was not a weather migraine this time. It is starting to go away now.

Spent the rest of the day cleaning up the playroom. We are converting it into an exercise room. It will have our treadmill, gazelle, weights, bands, exercise balls and a tv/vcr/dvd for our Zoomba, tai chi and aerobics programs. Or to watch a movie on the treadmill.

We have moved the children's desks and their computers into their rooms. They aren't online, they have to come out to the living room for that. But having those out of there gives us so much space for things. Of course, this is where the wood stove is also, so come winter, I'm not sure how much exercise will get done. I guess I can put a fan in there, too.

I am determined to be as healthy as I can be. Four surgeries in three years did not do kind things to my body, even if it did remove many of the health problems I had. Hopefully, I will continue to get better as I have over this past year, as my strength rebuilds from the assaults those surgeries inflicted on me. Maybe I'll be healthy by the time I pay off the medical mortgage. Hopefully, way before then. Being sick is expensive.

Time Mails Already & Ebay start-up

July 28th, 2006 at 06:45 am

I am always amazed at the turn around time of Time Mails. It's been less than 24 hours since I cashed it out and it already showed up at paypal, so I transferred that $2 to my CU and it should show up on Monday. It has got to be the fastest on its payout time. I'm glad I've figured out the trick to doing these PTR's. Now I've got more coming as me than I can handle, but that's okay as I am phasing out the .5 cent ones as I hit payout and phasing in the 1 cent ones as I do. Eventually, I plan to just do the one and two cent ones, though I may hold onto Time Mails, just because it goes so fast. We'll see.

I'm taking a break from the trial offers, sometimes they are just too hard to keep track of. At least with the PTR's they are completely free and you never get charged anything if you forget to cancel because there is nothing to cancel. Yes, PTR's are time consuming, but if all I'm doing is watching the kids swim anyway, it goes fast enough. Or if I watch a DVD, I can do them at the same time.

I'm also hoping to get set up on ebay before DH goes back to Kuparuk. I have about eight years of dance clothes and shoes to sell from my daughter's stuff and 3 years from my son's. Costumes from the recitals, too. And then soccer shoes and socks, also. I'd like to get that set up and going before the new dance and soccer seasons are in gear in September. Also, anything that is left in the lost and found from the dance stuidio from the previous season that I want, I am given. That works out well.

Savings Update

July 27th, 2006 at 10:49 pm

Yesterday a $3 transfer from paypal came in so added that plus 1 cent to bring my total from $508.99 to $512. The .99 was bugging me, so I got rid of it. Today was the day of the automatic transfer of $10, bringing my savings to $522.

Yesterday I cashed out a $2 click thru and early this morning I cashed out a $3 click thru. Those will probably not show up in paypal until Monday.

I still need to deposit the $9 from the neighbor paying us back some of the money he owed us, but I still have it set aside in my purse to do so. A few months ago I would have already spent it.

Savings Again

July 25th, 2006 at 02:39 am

My transfers from paypal of a $2 and a $3 click thru payout arrived in my CU checking account today, so I transferred that $5 to savings, bringing my total to $508.99.

Even though we went to town today we were not on the right side of town to deposit the $9 from the neighbor paying us back, so that will wait until at least Wednesday as we won't drive to town tomorrow.

I am waiting for one more paypal transfer from a click-thru that paid to come through of $3 and one of $1.71 which won't go through until month's end, I believe. That one I don't wish to continue. It takes too long unless you want to sign up for a bunch of useless clubs and I don't. That's why the odd amount, I'm just going to take the money when it comes through and close down the account afterwards. I've had one company pay me $9 and another $10 in the amount of time it has taken me to build this account to $1.71.

I am happy otherwise though, with the four that have paid out so I know they are legitimate.

Random Stuff

July 23rd, 2006 at 12:31 am

I cashed out on another click-thru, this one $3 and did another survey for $2, yesterday and Thursday. Didn't qualify for a $5 survey. >Embarrassment{

Yesterday was Friday and payday, so we paid the medical mortgage, $1000. We also did a small grocery run for fresh produce and they had some chicken on sale cheap and some London Broil on sale cheap, so we had chicken tacos today and we will be making beef fajitas tomorrow. I also picked up milk on sale. $2 a gallon. Not quite as good as Costco but I spend more when I go to Costco so it evens out.

Spent some time yesterday at Mom's and a lot of time in our pool. It was 99 degrees in the shade on our porch thermometer yesterday. It's only (ha, only) 89 today.

I have to sit down tonight and pay the rest of the bills. It is too hot to think and do math right now.

I'm in the middle of trying to plan a last minute vacation to Victoria. We can usually get a good hotel deal at the last minute and going to Vancouver Island is one of our favorite trips to do. The kids love the ferry ride and the city seems so much older than some of the cities in WA, even though it isn't. But the culture and the look of it, we enjoy.

Haven't done much else. They finally shut the cable off Thursday morning. So we ended up with 20 days free. Not bad.

I guess that is it.

Hit my Savings Goal

July 20th, 2006 at 10:31 pm

With Wednesday's deposit of the library refund of $5.45 and Thursday's automatic transfer of $10 to savings, my total is now $503.99 in long-term savings. So I have hit my latest savings goal. I have decided to make my next goal just be $250 more and not $500 more. I did like the idea of doubling my goal each time I hit one, but I do think I would feel discouraged if I had to wait that long, so I'll stick with the next goal being a total of $750.

One of my click-thrus made it to paypal and its in the process of being transferred to this account. The other one should hit paypal tomorrow.

Total earnings paid out so far this month is $22.

Too many late nights

July 19th, 2006 at 10:10 am

Oh, my, I am up late again in the middle of the night, after far too many nights like this. I've had a nasty bout of insomnia, and reading hasn't helped, and watching tv hasn't helped, so maybe typing for a bit will help.

I've been lax on my blog this month. Or rather I've had huge spurts of writing followed by days of nothing.

So first up, I cashed out on two click-thrus this week, one for $3 and one for $2. The first one has paid out twice so I trust them. The second one I've never cashed out on before, but if it pays that will make 4 that do pay, or at least that do pay me.

I took a $5 survey today from surveyspot, first one I've qualified for that paid and that hadn't been filled up. And only because I was checking my email when it came through. So luck does go both ways with that. Figured it had to change after missing so many because I wasn't fast on the draw or qualified. Most of them have been for drawings, but I had been plodding along with them, especially once I found out they do eventually pay. Of course, it will be four to six weeks and even then, I'm not sure if I'll be getting a check or if it will just show up in my account.

I have to deposit a check from the library tomorrow that I forgot to do the other day. So that will put me at $500 in savings this month, by the end of this week actually.

DH flies in tomorrow and I am more than ready for him to be home. The kids have been going at it like cats. I was going to say like cats and dogs, but on the face of it, they've just been cats. Nasty in a fight, defending their turf, clawing the heck out of each other and then you turn around and find them curled up together on the couch happily getting along and looking at you like you are imagining they were ever anything less than happy. I miss school! Oh, and to think I used to homeschool. That feels like sacrilege to say I miss school! But I do, LOL.

Oh, well, soccer camp is coming soon! But having DH home will take a tremendous amount of stress off me. We are hoping that this hitch home he will actually get Rose all the way to riding a bicycle on her own. She is so close. If she hadn't grown so fast at the wrong time she would have learned far before now. But her center of gravity kept shifting and she had a devil of a time even keeping upright on skates for awhile. But she's close. She'll be ten next month and she is embarrassed that she can't when her friends can.

DH has been holding off on teaching Tobias, who is six and ready right now, I think, because he didn't want Rose to have to deal with her brother learning first, but I'm of the opinion he'll teach himself by the end of the summer.

Haven't really done terribly much this week. Mostly laundry, separate the kids, weeding, separate the kids, cooking, separate the kids, go to the library where I threatened the kids before we went in that if they did not behave they would not be allowed to check anything out for the rest of the summer. They did behave. That would be worse than death for them now that they can't watch cable.

Speaking of cable, they still haven't turned it off. It's only hooked up in my room though, they don't know we still have it. I saw a cable truck out here today so I thought they might be switching it off, but no. I'll call them again on Friday, I don't quite trust that they won't try to bill me for their failure to turn it off when they said.

Well, can't think of anything else to say to drag this out with and I'm still not tired. I guess I'll go watch the new Doctor Who dvd set again. Billie Piper is brilliant and that Christopher Eccelsten is amazing. Shades of Tom Baker charisma-wise.

Savings Update

July 17th, 2006 at 09:58 pm

2 paypal transfers came through to my CU today, increasing my savings account by $6 to $488.34. Just $11.66 to go to hit my next savings goal of $500, which I will get to this month.

I have to decide if my next goal will be $750 or $1000. I had been doubling my goals but I'm afraid I might lose a bit of my motivation if it takes me another $500 to meet my next goal. I tend to be more of a baby steps person. And at the moment, I can't quite conceive of having $1000 in my savings account.

Of course, 3 months ago, I don't think I would have thought $500 was possible, either. But Thursday will bring an auto transfer of $10 and I should be cashing out a click-thru tomorrow, which should appear by Friday, and that means that goal will be met, for real, in actual cash. Wow.

I am looking forward to that.

3rd click thru came through

July 15th, 2006 at 10:05 am

My third click thru company came through with a $3 check to paypal, so I've sent that to transfer into my CU account with long term savings.

I forgot to cash the check today and add it to savings, but I did add an additional $5. Total amount in long term savings is now 482.34.

Pending:
$3 from click thru one
$3 from click thru three
$5.45 check to be deposited

$500 here I come.

More in Savings

July 13th, 2006 at 09:55 pm

Today was the day of the automatic transfer to savings of $10. That brings the total in that account to $477.34.

One of my click-thru payouts made it to paypal yesterday and I am waiting for the transfer from paypal to my CU account. That is $3.

I am still waiting to hear from the other one as it is not in paypal yet. I should be able to cash out another click-thru on Friday.

I've also signed up for a couple more and deleted 2 that pay 1/4 and 1/3 cent per email read. That is just a waste of my time altogether. Sticking with mostly the 1 cent ones. So far this month my click thru earnings have been $19. Not bad for something I do while listening to a book on tape or watching a DVD.

Savings and Click Thru Updates

July 12th, 2006 at 01:45 am

I didn't realize I went so many days without blogging, but there wasn't much of note going on, just a lot of swimming in the pool.

The click thru that had paid out $10 to paypal was transferred into my bank account yesterday, so it is now at a total of $467.34.

I cashed out on two more click-thrus today, one is one I haven't cashed out on before and the other one was my second time cashing out at one who has paid me before. Each of those will be $3, which will add another $6 to my savings, bringing meup to $473.34. Hopefully, I'll see it by Friday. I like building this acccountup, even if it is just little bit by little bit. I will reach my $500 goal this month.

A few dollars more

July 9th, 2006 at 01:23 am

My click thru payment of $10 was deposited into paypal this A.M. and I shifted it to my CU, so it should show by at least Wednesday. So that is 2 so far that have actually paid out. I'm about to hit a payout again on the first one that paid out.

Anyway, that will bring my long term savings up to $467.34. Then its just $33 more to hit my second goal of $500. Really excited about that.

I had to wipe out my freezer account though. Well, its not wiped out, it still has $27 in it, but sadly it was at $227, which was almost half of what I needed, so that's not great. But it was for a hospital bill that had managed to slip through the cracks, so I wanted to pay it off right away. It isn't part of the $150,000 we owe the hospital, somehow it got missed. But it was only $200, so I just wanted it gone.

At least the $150,000 isn't that much anymore, but it amazes me just how much goes to interest. I should check on that again and see exactly how much is left. At least it is at 6 percent and not at the 18 the hospital normally charges. Of course, they are using my parent's house as collateral, so they aren't really going to lose in this whole mess. And the house is mine anyway, if I want it.

Okay, I got off track. Anyhow, savings is going up slowly but surely. Oh, and I got another penny for my people just giving away money tally, the clerk at the convenience store didn't want to give me 4 pennies so she gave me a nickle. So that makes $1.81 since I started keeping track in April.

Still Waiting

July 6th, 2006 at 11:59 pm

I am still waiting for the click thru payment to come through to paypal. It was supposed to take 48 hours, but its taking a lot more than that. I was hoping it would come through today so I could get the order in to transfer to my savings account. Sigh. Well, I guess that is next week for that $10. Even if it comes through tomorrow, it won't go through to my CU until next week. I guess I just have to have patience. I really don't like how holidays shut down banking systems.
