Brief Update

April 20th, 2013 at 05:59 am

I added $8.24 to the coin jar...which was the change from our takeaway dinner tonight from the Polynesian place. I just didn't feel like cooking today. No one else did either. Most of what we got were stir-fries and egg fried rice. Lots of leftovers so we'll get several meals out of it. Trying to keep the eating out to once a week. I have a cold that keeps making me think it is going away and then it comes back a day or so later in full force.

Today was payday. I'll try to update on that tomorrow.

hope you cold goes away completely soon! thought of you when i saw this article in NYT recently - maybe you could popularize the Chinese dish of "spicy rabbit head" here in the states and help your rabbit business to boom! http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/17/dining/rabbit-duck-and-fish-heads-reappear-on-the-menu-in-china.html?_r=0

Could it be allergies? Sometimes allergies can mimic a cold.

I was going to ask the same...allergies? I hope you feel better soon. Take out once in awhile saves our sanity I think.

Nope, it's not allergies. I do have them, but I know the difference. Allergies don't make my ears hurt and pop, nor do they make my sinuses hurt. They make me sneeze, give me itchy eyes, stuffiness, and make me itch. They also respond to Zyrtec and Benadryl. This cold does not. Probably a sinus infection that I need to go to the doctor for.

Snafu--Interesting article. It is probably very good eating, however I don't think I could pass it off on my table! We are going to see if the local Sardis Wildlife Rehabilitation center wants the rabbit heads for their birds of prey. If they don't want them, we will probably just feed them to the chickens, the little onmivores will eat anything. I might be tempted to try cooking them in the crockpot where all the meat falls off the bone, but I don't think I'd want to eat them how they do in that video.

I am in the same boat with a sore throat that keeps returning. I hope you feel better soon!
