Do you have any thoughts around when the kids' allowances will be discontinued? I apologize if you discussed this before - I don't remember seeing it.

You allocate quite a bit to tithing. Do you ever call upon the church to help you out when you are sick? Bring meals so you don’t have to get take out? Drive your daughter to appointments so you don’t have to when your sick or injured? Help with your mom after her surgeries? At our church we have meal train services for the sick and have volunteers to drive hurt and elderly to Drs. Does the organization you belong to offer anything like that to it’s members?

Life Balance--My daughter is disabled and will likely never hold a job. She gets $30 every two weeks as a stipend, really. If she ever goes on disability it will stop. My son gets $90 every two weeks because he does all the farm work at this time of year and a good deal of the house work and always helps with the cooking and comes with me on the grocery shopping to do all the lifting and reaching and bending. He also helps with the garden during growing season. I can't do a lot anymore because of my rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia. He is such a tremendous help to me. If I wasn't paying him I'd be paying someone else and probably a lot more. So I doubt I will phase allowances out any time soon.

Butterscotch--We don't belong to a church locally. We tithe alternate paydays to the local Christian homeless shelter's ministry outreach program and an online church based in Missouri that we watch. So there isn't anyone here who can help.
