Finally

February 17th, 2012 at 10:21 pm

I used to have such good luck with surveys, back when I did them before. Nowadays, unless it's a parent survey that I pass on to my child, I rarely qualify. Well, today I finally got a good one from ACOP, and will be seeing $8 added to my account in 2 weeks. I could have gotten a second one, but I accidentally did it in IE instead of Firefox, and it blocked the pop-up video I would have needed to watch. When I tried to disable it it kept thinking I was hitting the back button. That one would have been $4. Oh, well.

I think it's time for me to sign up for MyPoints again and maybe that SwagBucks thing. I'd really like to bring in a little extra again to build up the Emergency Fund faster and to have some gift cards to pay for other things. How does SwagBucks work, exactly? I know there are some veterans of it on here.

    What is ACOP?

If you do a survey using the wrong web browser, you can sometimes cut and paste the link and put it in the right browser and finish it that way.

I've noticed with Opinion outpost you can't complete them in Firefox, but you can just cut and paste over to IE and it works.

Toluna (http://us.toluna.com) is very good, too.

    Beezag (http://www.beezag.com) is really easy.

I have a number of blog posts on my Living Frugal and Single blog about Swagbucks with screenshots and everything. Smile Some of the info is a bit outdated, but the majority of it still applies. Essentially: Daily earnings - Daily Poll, toolbar, NOSO, Games =14 SBs plus whatever you get searching. Then you can earn up to 150 SBs a day with SB tv (can watch from toolbar while reading on the net) and if you have an android phone can earn an additional 50 SBs a day with the tv app. Then of course there are now AdRewards videos (similar to Beezag which is a *great* site) and Gambit usually has a couple of videos you can watch for SBs. You can also do special offers - just be aware of any that ask you to download anything. i.e. *don't download anything!!* Installing something on FB is usually ok (except PageRage, stay away from that!!) Check out the SBs FB page for a link to Swagging 101 which people there keep updated for lots more info.

PS--ACOP is American Consumer Opinion Panel. It's a survey program, but it does product testing as well of things before they hit the market. I once did a body wash that I used every time I showered and then kept notes on what it did to my skin. I tested a new razor, a hair removal product, and some crackers. That sort of thing. Back when I was doing them all the time I was making about $30 a month off them. Usually one or two surveys and a product test per month. I recently signed up with them again. [url]www.acop.com{/url] They might only send out one or two things a week, sometimes one or two a month, but they are good payoffs. They do use prequalifying screener emails, which can get a little frustrating when it feels like their is a ton of stuff you are not qualifying for, but they tend to be short.

Crazyliblady--I am signed up for Toluna but I never have qualified for anything fromt them.

FT75--Am planning to sign up with Beezag through your link, hopefully tomorrow. Have actually been planning to do it for a while now, but kept forgetting to.
