It's Official

We have definitely hit the cap on out of pocket insurance for this year. We have never done that before. I know it was a crazy year for medical, but not even the year I gave birth to my daughter and we had to stay in the hospital for five days with her in NICU, we never hit any caps. So hopefully I really can schedule the knee surgery before January.

If not, well, considering how much it costs, we'll likely hit the cap again next year, too, but a lot sooner in the year. At least I have enough saved so far to cover next year's deductible. That will be a help.

My deposit finally hit ING yesterday and my interest for yesterday and today jumped quite a bit. I mean, it's still small, but before this last deposit it was piddly. I should earn around $4 in interest this month from ING. Some people might laugh at that, but I never laugh at free money. I only wish they'd go back to paying out 4%. This .9% business is ridiculous.

Nice! Get cracking... what else can you squeeze in before the end of the year? Smile

That's just the thing, I'm not sure what else there is. Although DH does need to get an eye exam and glasses and everyone's got dental coming up before the end of the year.

I hope you can get your surgery done before year end, too. Take care!

I'm not laughing, because in today's world $4 in interest is a lot in addition it means you have saved a good amount. Way to go LR!

Yep, it is sad to say that 0.9% is competitive. For laughs, as I track what I find on the sidewalk I compare it to the size of the 4 wk T-bill I'd have to get to get the same amount of interest. This month, so far, I'd have to get $514,318 of 4wk t-bill to get $2 interest.

That, my dear, is truly pathetic.

Wow, that's pretty sad, Baselle. I guess that's a good reason to keep your eyes on the ground.

I think that on the insurance cap, you should definitely get as much stuff scheduled as you can before the first of January! It would lead to a ton of savings and you have already paid your share into the policy this year...

Jerry--Well, I certainly hope I can get more out of it, the surgeon's schedule permitting. I suppose if I can't, I at least have enough money saved up for next year's deductible and can make a payment plan for the rest if need be.
