Mom's surgery went well and she's doing fine. Thanks for your prayers.

I had a close call on the eating out challenge. Today was just very stressful and I wanted junk food badly. But for the sake of my wallet and my diet I managed to resist it. I grilled some chicken instead, but I was very resentful in my own head about it. Still, it got me through to the other side without spending money.

Great news about your mom! And congrats on sticking with the challenge. Junk food desire during stress is a hard one to combat, so good for you. I can understand why you felt resentful while eating the chicken! I have my breakfast and lunch packed for work and am hosting a potluck gathering at my house tonight and have prepared my dish, so I'm still on track, too. Yay!

Yay your mom, and yay you for sticking to your guns. In times of stress, I've been known to put some raw almonds in a snack bag and put it in my pocket for when the need arises. Almost as good as "mothers little helper".
