Worth the Trip

I went for a walk through the park with the kids tonight and I found $2.31. I found two dollar bills wrapped up together in the parking lot and then a quarter, a nickel and a penny on the walking path. We just might have to go through the park more often with that kind of payment. I haven't felt this thrilled at finding money since I found $5 in the Trader Joe's parking lot. The money has gone to my coin jar with the eventual desitination of the Emergency Fund.

Very exciting! Finding money like that is like a secret treasure hunt. With a haul like that, I do keep my eyes peeled in case it was a little kid that lost it though.

We were the only car in the parking lot and no one else was in sight, so whoever lost it must have done it a lot earlier in the day.
