New Credit Score

I checked my credit report last night and my credit score has gone up 23 points to 786. That's not the highest its ever been which was 803, but its the highest its been in a good long while, so I'm pretty happy with it.

I want to keep it pretty high, as we are still hoping to buy a new to us car at the end of this year and I want to stay in the excellent range.

I am happy for you, since I have been paying off debt mine has only gone up a few points...then I paid off a cc and it went up like a 100 points (703) and then I closed the account and it's back down 100+ points, but I do not care I won't be buying thing for a while but I do plan on closing another and that will be it

I know why it happened, too. They increased our credit line by $5000 so our debt to credit ratio improved. And no one has to know we won't use that $5000 extra.
