I live, write, and garden in the PNW with my husband of 30 years, disabled daughter, autistic son, and my 85-year-old mother. We have paid off $250,000.00 worth of debt (if you include the interest) in the last fifteen years and as of 6/12/2020 are 100% DEBT FREE!!!!Okay, so today when I went to get the newspaper out of the box, my mailbox was open. It does this occassionally because the clicking mechanism fell off so it doesn't always latch. I went to close it and noticed that there was a quarter and a penny sitting in there. Now that is quite different from the usual thing, dog-chewed nerf football, pizza crust folded up inside a polystyrene plate, a dandelion in full seed, that kind of thing, that the neighbor kids tend to on occassion shove in there.
So I added the 26 cents to my running total of money I get from people who just don't care enough to keep it and that brings my running total to $1.80.
