I found an old coin jar that went missing about 2 years ago and it had enough dimes and quarters to roll up one each, so I will have $15 more to add to the freezer money account. Cool. That will go in on Friday.

Isn't found money the best? I just updated my blog with an entry with the exact same title! My found money comes from the change jar, from birthday gifts, from focus group work, and from rebates that I'd long ago forgotten! I haven't quite gotten disciplined enough to put all my coupon savings into found money, but I'm working on it.

Where do you get your rolls? I bought a whole bag once but I'm nearly out, and I was wondering if banks gave them out for free...

I sure do. It almost never happens, though. My mother always left money in her jacket and blazer pockets, which made me much more concious of keeping track of my own money. It is rare for me to find any that has been misplaced. It was a nice surprise.
