Dump Run and House Stuff

March 16th, 2011 at 03:36 am

I am so tired right now. I haven't been sleeping well and I've been doing a lot more physically than normal so everything aches. Mineral Ice is my friend. Today and yesterday DH and I spent working out at the house. We did a dump run today. It was nice to finally get rid of the big pile of stuff that's been sitting in the middle of the backyard under a tarp. It cost us $20.63 to dispose of things, including 2 old microwaves. We put 3.5 gallons of gas in FIL's truck, since we borrowed it and that's how much we used.

I didn't feel like cooking dinner and neither did DH, but we didn't want to spend the money on takeaway, so we got a lasanga at the grocery store (I wanted rotisserie chicken because it was cheaper and better for us but they were out at 6 p.m.) and also bought milk, bread, soup, and (quite unnecessarily) a bag of Bugles. Everything tastes off to me so I wanted something strongly flavored. Normally I don't give in to tha sort of thing, but this time I did. My resistance goes down when I don't feel well. Spent $37.11.

My daughter has the flu (the real flu) and I think I may be catching it. Working outside in rainy weather for two days probably didn't help. I just want to sleep for a week. We won't go out tomorrow because of DS's science fair. We are planning on Thursday, but not if I get any worse. DH might go out by himself.

It's more than okay to baby yourself when you're not feeling well. Hope you don't get sick!
