My mother over bought on her veggie starts so I now have the kohlrabi starts I was looking all over the place for last week. It looks to be about ten or twelve, so that's a good row and I will start seeds next to them when I plant them this coming week. Love it when stuff is free.

She also took my kids garage-sailing (yes, like the sailboat, that is what we call it) and Tobias ended up with a Razor scooter, brand name Razor, one of the really fancy ones for $5. This is the kind that was $100 when they first came out. But that was grandma's gift to him, so free, no out of pocket expense to me.

I've already had to institute a helmet and elbow pad rule for it. You only have to look at his elbow's to see why. I had gotten away with never buying scooters as I don't think they are particularly safe for little kids. But T is at an age now where he can handle it. He loves it, and now he can ride with the twins if they go on theirs.

He also learned to ride his bike with no training wheels last week, so he is leaving the ranks of the avid pedestrian behind. That has always had a helmet rule.

Anyway, that's my free stuff for today. It's been awhile since I have gotten any free stuff as I haven't been signing up for freebies for awhile. I should really get back to that again.
