Medical Debt Update

August 1st, 2007 at 12:16 am

My last payment to the medical debt has posted. The remining balance is now at $145,903.32. YTD interest paid on this debt is $5,628.83. Ouch!

That must be so hard to have that medical debt and be paying so much in interest. But the fact that you're alive makes it worth every penny!

You will get it paid off. I feel some of your pain, I have a high deductible, very low benefit insurance plan and the baby bills are starting to roll in, I just had to write a check to the obstetrician for $1950.00 last week (and that's just for the delivery). Medical care is outrageously expensive...

I feel some of your pain too as our medical insurance doesn't have very good coverage, and we were making monthly payments on uncovered expenses for about five or six years. Hang in there.

As hard as it is to have that debt hanging over us, I don't resent it horribly, because I know that without the care I received I wouldn't be here today. It was worth every cent, but still...ouch.

Wow, I had no idea. You have my utmost respect for paying this debt down.

    Good luck and good health!

It makes the increased household income exponentially (sic?) exciting. Gotta keep plugging away at it. Your ING account, FYI, is the finest $10 that I've earned. Smile
