Farm Sales and Pinecone Check to the EF

December 29th, 2015 at 04:58 am

I finally made it to the credit union today to deposit my Pinecone check, the $75 from selling a rabbit, and the rolled coin in my coin jar. I've had them for a week, but with the holidays, just hadn't had the chance to deposit them. I added it to the Emergency Fund.

$15.255.53 Starting Balance
+__,109.50 Deposit Added
------------
$15,365.03 New Balance

$634.97 to go to hit my first mini-goal for 2016 and $4,634.97 to go to hit my new big goal.

Season greetings, I hope you and family had a lovely Christmas.

The American VP wife Jill Biden, was on TV yesterday talking about tuition free Community College programs under development/ discussion. She said each state was developing their own system and qualifiers so she was unable to offer much explanation. Since you mentioned DD planned to go to CC, I thought she might investigate what Washington State was doing.

Actually she's doing online college through PennFoster, not Community College. With her health issues, it is easier for her to do it from home and then take the hands on parts at one of the local vet places that have an agreement with the PF.

I will believe in free CC when I see it. I am not holding my breath. It generates too much income in my community, which has five or six colleges and one university for me to believe they will ever give that up.
