House Remodel Photos--Kitchen

October 8th, 2013 at 05:47 am

After all the annoyance and grief of the last year over getting the house in shape to sell, it is really beautiful now that it is finished. The listing went up today and I am now beginning that long game of waiting for the next uncertainty to become a certainty. To distract myself from going completely crazy, I thought I'd share some photos, but so as not to tank anyone's ability for a page to load, thought I'd do a few photos a day until they are done.

I chose the kitchen to start with. I do not have before photos. Before was boring anyway.

Looking towards dining room/bonus room:

New sink and new countertops:

Refinished cabinets, stove, dishwasher, sink:

Additional Cabinet Storage and Fridge Alcove:

Flooring is new as is the crown molding, texturized walls, and paint.

This kitchen was a dream to work in, but not anywhere near as nice as it is now. I am slightly jealous I will never get to use it.

Thanks for posting photos and looking forward to seeing the next group. This has been a long process for you and hoping pre approved, well funded buyers see the advantages your home offers to have it quickly SOLD. Have you lined up potential purchases? Will you stay at moms until spring as less trauma for family and livestock?

It is just lovely! It ought to sell easily and I, too, would love that kitchen to work in!

wow that is a lot of cabinet space! And I LOVE the detail on the glass faced cabinets. I hope the next owner preserves that.

When I fixed up my house to sell, I was jealous, too, that someone else got to take advantage of it!

Looks great! Is that a 1960's Ranch style home or newer construction?

Xtreme Thunder--It was built in 1990. I think it is a ranch/rambler style home.

Snafu, I've picked out some farms on the internet I want to go look at, but we don't see the point in looking much before it sells, since we can't buy until we have the money in hand.

We will move the animals last regardless of when. Mom will take care of them until we move them. She's decided she wants to keep the chickens so we will only have to move the rabbits and we can start over with a new flock of pullets. She'll give us eggs until ours are up and running. The rabbits we will try to move when no one is close to kindling or has real young kits.

No trama to the kids. DD will continue to go to the same high school for the rest of her senior year even if she has to live with Mom during the week and only come home on weekends if we live too far out, and DS is homeschooled.

We figured we'd move everything in from storage first over the course of a few days and then move beds, clothes, and what we are living with in a long weekend and at the end of that long weekend settle the rabbits in to their new digs.

Thanks for the reply! The other two rooms you posted loom great as well. Only reason I asked was because one of the styles of homes I love is the Ranch/Rambler style of the 1940-1960's era. I have actually came across some old floor plan books circa 1960 in my research of "storybook ranches". Our long term goal is to build a 1960's style ranch home, 4 bed/2 bath , approx. 1800 sf, on a couple acres, unless we can find an original that suits my very picky style. Haha! We currently live in a 2 bed/1 bath, 760 sf, 1960 Ranch with a walk-out basement, but if we plan on having some kids, we may our grow our "baby ranch" within 10 years. Good luck with the listing!
